CARRIE UNDERWOOD, SUGARLAND, RODNEY ATKINS TO KICK-OFF GRAND OLE OPRY’S CMA MUSIC FESTIVAL WEEK SHOWS AT THE TUESDAY NIGHT OPRY JUNE 5

Reigning CMA Female Vocalist of The Year Carrie Underwood, ACM award-winners Sugarland, and 2007 ACM Winner Rodney Atkins are scheduled to kick-off the Grand Ole Opry’s week of shows during this year’s CMA Music Festival. The artists will be among those performing at the Tuesday Night Opry on June 5. One hour of the night’s show will run as a special Tuesday night version of “Grand Ole Opry Live” on Great American Country (GAC).

Additional Opry shows during CMA Music Festival week include the Grand Ole Opry Trust Fund Benefit Show at the Ryman Auditorium Thurs., June 7, weekend Opry performances at the Opry House, and an Opry at the Ryman CMA Music Festival Matinee Sat., June 9.

Among the artists scheduled to perform on Tuesday Night Opry shows in May are Trace Adkins, Dierks Bentley, Terri Clark, Emerson Drive, Del McCoury Band, Porter Wagoner, Steve Wariner, and more.

Chely Wright's Annual "Reading, Writing and Rhythm" Benefit

Chely Wright's Annual "Reading, Writing and Rhythm" Benefit will take place at the Wildhorse Saloon on June 5 at 6:00PM. Proceeds from the event go to Chely's nonprofit organization that works to improve the quality of music education in America. Money from previous events has gone to purchasing new music equipment for schools and aiding in providing musical education.

Talent already announced includes Taylor Swift, Emerson Drive, Chris Young, Kellie Pickler, Keith Anderson, Mindy Smith and Trent Tomlinson.
