CMT gives fans the power to vote on their favorite country music videos and millions of votes are cast to determine the winners of the CMT Music Awards! This year's awards ceremony will take place at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on June 9, one day before the annual CMA Music Fest officially gets started. The music extravaganza will air live on CMT and CMT.com. The party begins at 8:00PM EST.

Head to CMT.com to cast your vote for your favorite videos in nine different categories! Votes will be counted through June 8. Finalists in the "Video of the Year" category will be announced at the beginning of the Awards show. Audiences on EST and CST will be allowed to vote through CMT.com or text message to determine the final winner.



Artists scheduled to perform include Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Lady Antebellum, Toby Keith. Additional performers just announced include Brad Paisley, The Zac Brown Band and Tim McGraw. Presenters will be announced closer to show date.

TIM McGRAW, BRAD PAISLEY AND ZAC BROWN BAND ADDED TO THE PERFORMANCE LINE-UP FOR THE ”2010 CMT MUSIC AWARDS”

Host Kid Rock Will Also Perform

The 2010 CMT MUSIC AWARDS’ star-studded perfomer line-up gets even hotter with the addition of country megastars Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley and Zac Brown Band on Wednesday, June 9 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT. They will take the stage at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena along with recently announced host Kid Rock, who will add performer to his list of duties, and Toby Keith, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban, when country music’s only fan-voted awards show airs LIVE on CMT and CMT.com.

CMT will be using the 2010 CMT MUSIC AWARDS as a platform for CMT ONE COUNTRY's efforts to give back to the community and help with Tennessee Flood Relief. By working with CMT ONE COUNTRY partners, Hands on Nashville, Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee and show sponsor, Rhapsody, CMT hopes the CMT MUSIC AWARDS will help these charities to better serve those families who have been directly impacted by the recent flooding.

CMT Top 20 host Evan Farmer presents the final nominees when the 2010 CMT MUSIC AWARDS NOMINATION SPECIAL PRESENTED BY VERIZON premieres this Friday, May 14 at 10:30-11:00 a.m. ET. Fans can relive the best video moments of 2010 during this half-hour special, and determine their votes before they mark their final choices at CMT.com. In addition to honoring winners’ charities, CMT ONE COUNTRY is partnering with Rhapsody® to make donations on behalf of all nominees. From now until Wednesday, June 16, the proceeds from the purchase of any 2010 CMT MUSIC AWARDS nominated song from Rhapsody.com will go to CMT ONE COUNTRY to support Tennessee flood relief. The 2010 CMT MUSIC AWARDS premiere Wednesday, June 9 at 8:00 p.m., ET/PT on CMT and CMT.com.
