"Hannah Montana The Movie" Comes to a Theater Near You on April 10th!
What We Know About the Movie...
The friends, the crazy family, the drama, the laughter, the heart-warming moments of knowing that as long as you are surrounded by people who love you, everything is going to be okay... everything fans love about "Hannah Montana," the television series gets bigger and better when "Hannah Montana: The Movie" hits theaters on April 10. Yes, Miley and the gang are taking one of television's most successful family-oriented programs to the big screen and something tells us it's going to be a HUGE hit!
In case you haven't seen "Hannah Montana," on the Disney Channel or heard the premise (you know, like you just crawled out from under your rock or you were literally born yesterday), Miley Stewart is your typical teenager, who goes to school and faces the same problems everyone else faces like fitting in, passing tests, tolerating an older brother, and agreeing with her Dad on dating and other major issues. The difference with Miley is that she leads a double life as a mega-successful Pop Star named "Hannah Montana." If anyone found out "Hannah's" real identity, her normal life would be over and any sort of privacy would go right out the window.
Living the life of a Pop Star definitely has its perks and it would be hard not to let all of the attention and fame go to your head at some point. That's exactly what happens in the movie when Miley starts to get a little too big for her designer britches. Her Dad, Bobby Ray, (played by her real-life Dad, Billy Ray Cyus) decides she needs to get back to her roots, so he tricks her into going home to Tennessee.
Once there, Robby Ray tells Miley that she has two weeks to remember where she comes from or she will have to say goodbye to "Hannah" forever. Being an actress, "Miley" is sure she will have no problem pretending to be country in order to convince her Dad that "Hannah" should live on. Somewhere along the way though, Miley actually starts to remember all the great things about small town living. This creates another dilemma... should "Hannah" actually live on or should Miley just be herself?
Of course, there is usually a boy invloved in Miley's drama and in this case, she reconnects with an old family friend named "Travis." Immediately, there is a spark between the two and Travis is instrumental in reminding Miley all the good things about being from the country.
Fans of the show will be delighted to see cast favorites like Jason Earles, Emily Osment, Mitchel Musso and Moises Arias in the feature film and country music favorites like Taylor Swift, and Rascal Flatts.
There is also a hysterical appearance by Tyra Banks. The movie is rated G so bring every member of the family both big and small. You'll laugh together, sing together, maybe even wipe away a tear a two. One thing is for sure, you'll leave the theater appreciating each other just a little more!
"Hannah" fans know that music is a huge part of the series and the movie is no different. Fans are going to be treated to new songs by both Miley and Hannah and other superstars of country music like Billy Ray, Taylor Swift and Rascal Flatts.
The first single released from the Motion Picture Soundtrack "The Climb" is already climbing the singles chart and "Hoedown Throwdown" is already a new dance sensation. Thanks to the folks at Disney, you can watch the videos for these two hit songs below!

HANNAH MONTANA THE MOVIE - "Hoedown Throwdown Breakdown" Instructional Video
Quicktime:
Miley is played by the multi-talented Miley Cyrus who is responsible for making "Hannah Montana" a world-wide phenomenon. Miley was born in November 1992, during a time when her Dad was gaining fame as a country music sensation.
She appeared in her Dad's series DOC and Tim Burton's film "Big Fish." At 12, she auditioned for "Hannah Montana" and hasn’t stopped breaking records since. Her albums (both as Hannah Montana and as herself) have enjoyed multi-platinum sales and she has performed for thousands of concert goers. She recently was heard as the voice of "Penny" in the smash movie "Bolt" and released her first autobiography "Miles to Go."
Lilly Truscott
Emily Osment does a great job bringing Hannah's BFF, Lilly, to life. Emily is no stranger to the big and small screen having made guest appearances on everything from Friends to Touched By An Angel and is extremely recognizable from her Spy Kids 2 and 3 performances.
She can currently be seen in the Disney Channel movie "Dadnapped." Emily is also an accomplished singer and does voice-overs for TV and movies.
Jackson Stewart
Jason Earles plays Miley's brother "Jackson." Though Jackson is always finding himself in trouble (and it's usually messy trouble), he does have a heart of gold and is very protective of his sister (even if neither one of them would ever admit it).
The actor with a knack for physical comedy has been seen in the movies "National Treasure" and "American Pie: Band Camp," and has been heard as the voice of "Spudnick" in the recently released DVD "Space Buddies." He can also be found in the Disney Channel movie "Dadnapped." On the small screen, Jason has appeared in "Boston Legal," and "Phil of the Future," and will soon be seen in a guest appearance on DisneyXD's "Aaron Stone."
Travis
Lucas Till has the "tough" job of playing Miley's love interest in the "HM" movie. The Georgia native has appeared in movies such as "Walk the Line" and guest starred on TV shows like "House."
Next up for Lucas is a feature film called "The Spy Next Door." The movie also stars Jackie Chan.
More cast members coming soon!!
