With every ending there is a new beginning and the gang is ready to find out what their futures hold!

And because it is "High School Musical" you can expect A LOT of singing and dancing!

What We Know About the Music...

Everything is bigger and better in a theatrical release and this movie certainly holds nothing back when it comes to the song and dance numbers! The film features 10 new songs and medlies of your old favorites! The movie opens with "Now or Never" a musical number intertwined with the Wildcats last basketball game. This song helps Troy express his emotions about being torn between performing and playing basketball.

"I Want it All" is Sharpay's big number. During this song, the audience will see the school through Sharpay's eyes meaning it will be more fantasy than real life! “It’s the biggest musical number for me,” Ashley confesses. “Sharpay wants the Juilliard scholarship and she wants to use her brother to get it. The song itself is very Fergie/Gwen Stefani meets Sharpay Evans. I love it.”

"The Boys Are Back" is also more of a fantasy number featuring Troy and Chad. "“We’ve never really had a number just to ourselves,” Zac stresses. “So this is a chance for us to team up and just go off each other’s energy.” The song actually takes places in a Junk Yard and features sword fighting and break dancing!

What We Know About the Cast...

Zac Efron plays Troy and decribes the character by saying “Troy is a lot of different things. He’s a very average kid going through high school, dealing with everyday choices. But the fun thing about him is that he’s got these hidden talents. So Troy’s got a lot to balance: his basketball career, his newfound love of singing, and then of course, Gabriella. What’ll happen to them after high school? You don’t know. It’s like typical high school drama that we get to sing about.”

Zac got his start on stage in productions of "Peter Pan," "Mame," "Little Shop of Horrors," and the musical "Gypsy." He has guested on television shows like "ER," "The Guardian," "C.S.I." and "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody." Up next for the talented actor are the movies "17 Again" with Matthew Perry and Leslie Mann and "Me and Orson Welles" with Claire Danes and Ben Chaplin.

Vanessa Hudgens is Gabriella Montez. Director, producer and choreographer Kenny Ortega says she's the real deal. “She continues to amaze me in the way that she grows as an actress. This girl can dance. This girl can sing. This girl can act. She’s funny, she’s everything. She’s a real leading lady.”

“Shooting ‘High School Musical 3’ has been the most fun I’ve had on any of the movies,” Vanessa divulges. “We’re all close now and we got to be with each other every day, working, goofing off and just being kids.”

Vanessa started out in musical theater at just eight years old and found herself in productions of "Evita," "Carousel," "The Wizard of Oz," and "Cinderella," (to name a few!). Next came roles in feature films like "Thirteen" with Holly Hunter and Evan Rachel Wood and "Thunderbirds." She has been seen on TV in "Quintuplets," "Brothers Garcia," "Still Standing" and "The Suite Life of Zach and Cody."

The talented singer has also released two solo albums (most recently, IDENTIFY,) and has toured the country with her HSM co-stars and also with the Cheetah Girls. Up next for the multi-talented actress is the movie "Bandslam," with Gaelan Connel, Aly Michalka and Lsa Kudrow.

Ashley Tisdale is known to HSM fans as Sharpay Evans. In real life, Ashley is one incredibly busy girl. Everyone knows that she recently starred in the ABC original movie "Picture This," but did you know that she was also an Executive Producer of the movie as well? Yes, the TV movie was a joint project for MGM and Ashley's company, Blondie Girl Productions.

The talented performer got her start in show business at age three and has appeared in over 100 commercials. Before she was a teenager, she had toured in productions of "Annie" and "Les Miserables." Those helped to prepare her for roles on television on such programs as "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody," "Phineas and Ferb," (well, you hear her anyway)"Nathan’s Choice," "George Lopez," "Still Standing," "Grounded for Life," "Boston Public" and "7th Heaven." Ashley also has a solo CD out and can be seen next in the feature film "They Came From Upstairs," and a remake of the movie "Teen Witch." “Ashley’s my girl,” beams Ortega. “She’s just one in a million. I think Ashley is a classic in the making. I think she can deliver on many, many levels. She’s just a fun spirit.”

“Chad’s a typical jock,” says Corbin Bleu, the young man who plays him. “He lives, eats and breathes basketball. He loves being around his friends, he loves being around Troy, and he has a nice girlfriend in Taylor.”

Corbin is thrilled to be with his co-workers for a feature film. “This movie explores friendship and camaraderie, the bond that’s been built between these two brothers and how it’s changing. It’s the joy in seeing a friend move on and do what he wants to do, and at the same time the sadness of losing a partner.” Ortega has nothing but praise for the performer. “He prides himself on being prepared. Corbin works as hard as anybody I’ve ever known. He’ll take one step and he’ll just drill it until he feels absolutely 100 percent about it. Corbin came up with the idea of Chad walking around with a basketball under his arm. He slept with that basketball. He didn’t let that basketball out of his sight until he felt that he owned it.” Corbin has earned honed his acting skills on such television shows as "Flight 29 Down," "The Amanda Show," "ER," "Hannah Montana," and "Malcolm and Eddie." He also starred in another wildly successful Disney Channel movie titled "Jump In!" Up next for the multi-talented performer is "Free Style," a movie that he stars in and produces. In 2009, he will also release his second album on Hollywood Records.
