"Million Dollar Arm" Celebrates Premiere And Discovers New Pitching Talent Too!
The inspirational movie "Million Dollar Arm" opens in theaters on May 16. Cast, crew and friends gathered in Hollywood to celebrate the final product that tells the story of desperate sports agent JB Bernstein and his unconventional method of discovering two baseball stars.
Walt Disney Studios Pictures held a contest in conjunction with the release of the film hoping to find a pitcher who could throw over 100 miles an hour. Nine finalists were brought to the Green Carpet Premiere to try their luck. Josh Dahl of Glendale, AZ fell 6 mph short of the 100 goal, however, he did sign a contract with the real-life Mr. Bernstein.

Press Has Begun For "Maleficent," One of This Year's Most Anticipated Films!
On May 30, Walt Disney Studios will delve into the dark past of one of Disney's most beloved villians! "Maleficent" comes to life in a live-action version, thanks to Angelina Jolie who seems born to play the role.
Princess Aurora is beautifully played by the uber-talented, Elle Fanning. She recently joined Jolie in Paris to talk with press about the film.

"Mom's Night Out" is a Hilarious Tribute to Mother's Everywhere! We Take You to the Red Carpet Premiere!
Just in time for Mother's Day... the hilarious "Mom's Night Out" opens in theaters on May 9.
Starring Sarah Drew (Grey's Anatomy), Patricia Heaton (The Middle), Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings, Goonies), Harry Shum Jr. (Glee) and country music star, Trace Adkins, this laugh-out-loud look at life is the perfect film for the family to see with Mom to thank her for all of her hard work!

They also wanted to see the actors from their favorite Disney Channel shows who showed up to present or just join in the fun themselves!

Your grandparents probably loved his iconic actor/comedian father, Dom DeLuise just as much. On April 30, at 8:30PM, the versatile actor pops up on the ABC Family series "Baby Daddy," as a potential father to Chelsea Kane's character "Riley."

Former Disney XD, "Kickin' It" star Olivia Holt is proud to lend her voice to the beautiful motion picture that follows the first year of life of two bear cubs along with their protective mother.
Olivia recently sat down with EnterTeenment News reporter, Kevin Gerdes, to talk about the film, her song and some other fun stuff!

Olivia Holt Hosts a Special Screening of DisneyNature's "Bears!" Hear Olivia's Song "Carry On" in the Film!
Most movie-goers will have a chance to see DisneyNature's "Bears" when it opens in theaters on April 18. Disney Channel star, Olivia Holt, hosted a special screening at the Walt Disney Studios recently and some of her current co-stars stopped by to support their friend and the stunning film!
Olivia is currently starring in the new series "I Didn't Do It," on the Disney Channel. Co-stars Piper Curda and Austin North and former co-star Dylan Riley Snyder (Kickin' It) were among the guests at the special viewing of DisneyNature's beautful documentary of a Momma Bear and her two cubs.

Draft Day Touches Down in Theaters on April 11!
Summit Entertainment fictionally takes movie-goers behind-the-scenes of one of football's most anticipated days of the year... "Draft Day."
The film stars Kevin Costner as the Cleveland Brown's General Manage, Sonny Weaver. Sonny is conflicted about having the first pick at the upcoming draft. The person he would choose is not the player that everyone else wants on the team.
EnterTeenment News was on the carpet at the premiere to talk to the movie's stars like Costner, Jennifer Garner and Tom Welling about making the movie.

Twisted's First Season Finale on ABC Family! We Get Some Scoop From Series Star, Maddie Hasson!
ABC Family's new series "Twisted" will finish season one on April 1 after a thrilling mystery that has kept an audience on the edge of its seat. The series follows Danny Desai (Avan Jogia), a 16-year-old who has just returned to his home town after five years in juvenile detention for a crime that he may or may not have committed. Despite being the "socio," Danny tries to reconnect with his friends Jo (Maddie Hasson) and Lacey (Kylie Bunbury). Upon his return, Danny finds that Jo and Lacey are no longer friends, and at the opposite ends of the social ladder.

Disney's "The Pirate Fairy" Swashbuckles Its Way on to Blu-ray and DVD!
Tinker Bell and friends set out on a new adventure in Disney's "The Pirate Fairy!" This fun-filled adventure arrives on home video on April 1!
Disney recently hosted a premiere for "The Pirate Fairy" at the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California. Actors who voice characters in the film like Mae Whitman (Tinker Bell), Christina Hendricks (Zarina) and Pamela Aldon (Vidia) walked the red carpet along side family and friends. The Fosters Season One Finale on ABC Family! David Lambert Talks Playing "Brandon" & More!
Season One of ABC Family's buzzed about drama, "The Fosters" comes to an end on March 24 as some problems are resolved and some drama just keeps getting bigger. The series, which premiered on June 3, 2013, introduced Stef Foster, a police officer, and her life-partner Lena, as two mothers who are raising Stef's biological son Brandon, and adopted twins, Mariana and Jesus. As if raising three teenagers isn't hard enough, Lena meets Callie and her younger brother Jude. The brother and sister have had a rough childhood and Lena thinks providing them a good home is the right thing to do.
We checked in with actor David Lambert to find out what it's like to be a part of "The Fosters." He gave us a hint as to what to expect from the finale and then talked about what he hoped will be in store for Brandon in Season Two. Keep reading to find out more about this versatile performer!

"Pretty Little Liars'" Star Keegan Allen Meets and Greets Fans at The Charleston Town Center!!
Actor Keegan Allen has gained legions of fans by playing "Toby Cavanaugh" on the ABC Family hit "Pretty Little Liars." Hundreds of those fans showed up at the Charleston Town Center to get an autograph and say "Hi" to the charismatic actor.
Keegan arrived just as a prom fashion show was coming to a close. His presence prompted a roar from the crowd as he made his way down an escalator to a small stage. An avid photographer, Keegan carried two cameras of his own and snapped pictures of the crowd.
A DJ from Electric 102.7 was on hand to introduce Keegan and ask him a few questions. He revealed that "Ezra as A" was one of his favorite storylines and encouraged everyone to watch the season finale on March 18th. He admitted that there is a twist so surprising, even he was shocked when he heard about it.
He also revealed that they start shooting season 5 next week and that he also has plans to release an album this year. He hoped to return to Charleston to play some music sometime soon. The fans were thrilled about that possibility.
Keegan then got down to business, meeting with fans one-by-one, signing autographs and thanking them for coming. He stayed for almost three hours and was as just as nice to the last fans through as he was the first.

It's Time to Play The Music! "The Muppet Most Wanted" Premiere Lights Up Hollywood!
The biggest movie stars in the world were in Hollywood this week to celebrate the release of "Muppets Most Wanted"! We're talking Kermit the Frog. We're talking Miss Piggy! Even Tina Fey, Ricky Gervais and Ty Burrell showed up to support their Muppet friends!
Seriously though, the Muppets have been part of everyone's childhood and we are days away from the release of their next adventure. Cast members, crew and a lot of friends walked the carpet before a special premiere held at the El Capitan on Hollwood Blvd.

Stars Race to the "Need For Speed" Premiere in Los Angeles!!
Though the beautiful, fast cars are certainly front and center in DreamWork's new release, "Need For Speed," actors like Aaron Paul, Dominic Cooper and Michael Keaton also play huge parts in this fast-paced story. "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters" is Unleashed on DVD and Blu-ray

"Reign" is a historical drama based on the life of a teenaged Mary, Queen of Scots. Mary is betrothed to the future King of France and has been since she was six years old. That hasn't at all dampened Mary's independent streak and she's quite hopeful that her future husband and she can truly find love with each other.
We talked to actor Torrance Coombs who plays "Sebastian" on this intriguing new drama. Find out what he had to say about his cast-mates, the historical accuracy of the show, and what part of his costume is just "too tight!"

The "Divergent" Soundtrack Is Diverse in Great Tunes!

The much anticipated movie Divergent, which is the first installment of the trilogy, released its first soundtrack on March 11, 2014. The first single released was "Find You" a dance track by Zedd, Matthew Koma, and Miriam Bryant. It is a great opening track and sets the flow for the rest of the album.
If you are a fan of Ellie Goulding then you will really enjoy this because she has three songs (four if you have the deluxe edition) and each song brings something different for a diverse listen. "Beating Heart" is definitely the standout track of the four. Another great standout is "Fight For You" by Pia Mia, and Chance the Rapper. This is a great pop/dance ballad!
There is definitely a variety of artists featured on this album including Snow Patrol, A$AP Rocky, Skrillex and M83. The big difference for this album is that is definitely an up-tempo, dancy album, whereas most soundtracks have leaned more to the indie/folk sound, so you may be surprised when you give it a listen for the first time. Check it out now!

Disney's Instant Classic "Frozen" Warms Up A Long, Cold, Winter!

The movie that had families flocking to the movie theater during last year's holiday season has come to Blu-ray and DVD! Disney's "Frozen" has given fans two new princesses to love and has everybody wishing we had a snowman named "Olaf!"
Falling somewhere between "Tangled" and "Enchanted," Frozen does not disappoint. Fun musical numbers will have you humming along and powerful duets between the sisters will leave you stunned and frozen with awe.
The minds of writer/directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee bring to light a story of the unbreakable bond between two royal sisters who must test the limits of true love. After a childhood accident, young princess Elsa, heir to the throne, is ordered to hide her magical powers from the world, but more importantly she must keep them from Anna, her younger rambunctious sister. Anna, confused by her sister's sudden change tries to win her way back into Elsa's heart only making matters worse.
After their royal parents are lost to a horrific storm at sea, Elsa must somehow keep her powers hidden as she takes over the throne, a nearly impossible feat. Anna announces some rather alarming news at the coronation ball and Elsa looses her cool (quite literally), fleeing the kingdom and leaving a terrible winter storm in her wake.
The true adventure begins when Anna leaves the kingdom and sets out to bring Elsa home. Along the way, Anna makes some rather snowy, but hilarious friends who help her on her way to finding Elsa. Will she reach her sister in time to save the kingdom from its chilly fate??
Pairing the incredible voices of Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel with some truly stellar animation, this wintery musical is sure to leave you warm and fuzzy during any season!

Fall in Love Again With One of The Greatest Love Stories of All Time! A New "Romeo and Juliet" Arrives on Blu-ray and DVD!
It certainly isn't the first film adaptation of the Shakespeare classic, but "Romeo and Juliet," available on Blu-ray and DVD on February 4, is one this generation can be proud to call their own! Starring Hailee Steinfeld and Douglas Booth as the star-crossed lovers, the tragic story plays out beautifully, in this 20th Century Fox release.
The story remains the same, Romeo and Juliet fall in love despite coming from families who absolutely hate each other. They two teenagers plot and scheme to be together and while it works for a while, their story has a tragic ending. This updated version, directed by Carlo Carlei, also boasts "Gossip Girl's" Ed Westwick as Tybalt, and stunning scenery from the stories original setting of Verona, Italy.

The "Sound of Music Live" Brings Beautiful Music To Your Holiday Season!
Broadway shows, Carrie Underwood, "The Sound of Music,"... these are a few of our favorite things! Naturally, we were thrilled when NBC announced that they would be airing a broadway version of this beloved story live on television and that it would feature Carrie as "Maria".
Millions of people tuned in to watch the action unfold live but now the magic and the music have arrived on Blu-ray and DVD for fans to watch over and over again. Songs that are part of our childhood like "Do-Re-Mi" and "My Favorite Things," are given new life by an incredibly talented cast that combines Broadway veterans with fresh new faces, all of whom are worth getting to know.
Though the story remains the same (A young governess falls in love with the father of the seven children she is caring for), the cast and venue is different than the movie that has stood the test of time. The Masked Man Is Worth Riding With! "The Lone Ranger" Rides on to Blu-ray and DVD!

December 17th sees another classic franchise revived on Home Entertainment with Disney's The Lone Ranger, based on the old Western hero of radio and television fame. Audiences have been both worried and excited about this one. We all love the masked man, but we've also seen beloved characters and their stories ruined by studios looking for their next summer blockbuster. Fortunately, the talented cast and the bold creative team give us far more delight than disappointment.
Attorney John Reid (Armie Hammer) heads to the town of Colby on the still-under-construction transcontinental railway to do his part in bringing justice to the West. After a thrilling train ride in which he narrowly escapes murderous thief Butch Cavendish (William Fichtner) with the help of Tonto (Johnny Depp), a mysterious Comanche warrior, John is recruited by his brother Dan (James Badge Dale) to ride with his band of Texas Rangers and bring Cavendish and his men to justice. Things turn sour in a hurry, though, and the situation leads John-at the urging of Tonto-to don the iconic mask and go after the bad guys himself. What follows is an action-packed adventure somewhere between a classic Western and Pirates of the Carribean.

That's no surprise given the names behind this movie. The film is made by the same team that brought us the Pirates series: producer Jerry Bruckheimer, director Gore Verbinski, and writing team Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio, with the addition of screenwriter Justin Haythe (Revolutionary Road). This band of storytellers has earned a reputation for sweeping adventures that are pure, popcorn-munching fun, and that's what they provide us again here.
Ranger certainly has a lot going for it. It's entertaining from beginning to end, thanks to an engaging story and a reliable cast. Tonto and brothel-owner Red (Helena Bonham Carter) bring the same level of quirkiness we've come to expect from Depp and Carter. Given the talent surrounding him, 26-year-old Hammer has a lot to live up to, but he dons the mask with aplomb, giving us a hero we can both root for and laugh at. Indeed, the antics of Reid and Tonto stand out in this picture, giving credit to the skill of both Depp and Hammer at playing the physical comedy. The chemistry between the two also works well-a necessity for such an iconic duo.
Their relationship might have been a concern for some moviegoers. When one thinks of Tonto, what comes to mind is usually not a respectful portrayal of Native American history and culture, but a cliched sidekick of few words. To improve on this for a new audience, Depp and the creative team made him the storyteller and a key player in the story, taking care not to make him a stereotype while still paying homage to the original character. It's a fine line, but they managed to walk it. Tonto doesn't stray too far into the silly or the sagely. Instead, he has enough flaws and insight to make him both mysterious and relatable, a very human sort of character that a lot of films fall short of when portraying Native Americans.

There are still a few aspects critics will not like. For all the Union Blue on screen, we don't see much honor among the soldiers, and some of the dialogue sounds more like 21st-century America than the Old West. A number of characters, shots, and plot points seem familiar too. In fact, certain pieces of the story seem identical to elements in one of Elliott and Rossio's previous films (to avoid potential spoilers, we won't say which). But if the filmmakers are reusing old tricks, it's because they work, and this story has enough originality to avoid feeling formulaic.
In the end, The Lone Ranger is just what you want it to be. It's loyal to the classic series but still has a fresh take to keep it interesting. There's comedy, drama, action, beautiful Western landscapes, and several unforgettable sequences atop train cars. That classic William Tell Overture even shows up in the score a few times, just enough for you to enjoy it. The film may or may not be Oscar fodder, but it's the perfect treat for family fun this holiday season!
