The Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley "Locked and Reloaded" Tour is a Show That Starts and Ends With a Bang!

By: Sarah Messer

The night may have been a cold one at the Big Sandy Arena in Huntington, West Virginia, but if you were a ticket holder for the show, the cold and snow meant nothing for these music lovers! The lines were packed full of eager fans waiting to see the great tour lineup of Thomas Rhett, Dierks Bentley, and Miranda Lambert, a trifecta which guaranteed that the night was going to be nothing but hot hot hot!!

Newcomer, Thomas Rhett, had the daunting task of getting the night started and he more than delivered. Let's just get this out of the way now... this guy is a born entertainer! As an opening act, you except the crowd to be a little thin, however this was not the case. Thomas had people on their feet, singing, dancing, clapping, even some head bopping. He played songs from his self-titled EP such as "Something to do With My Hands," "Whatcha Got in That Cup," and "Make Me Wanna." A standout part of the night was when he asked the crowed if they liked Jason Aldean, to which, of course, this country crowd screamed "YES!" Thomas then did a cover of "Dirt Road Anthem." If you knew all of Thomas' material, there was no doubt a hidden gem in the set list when the crowd got an impromptu song called "Dierkin' It", a little number about, well, Dierks Bentley! At the end of a great set... Thomas showed a little rock-star attitude and lifted his guitar up in the air, and smashed it to the ground! Ok Dierks it's your turn to deliver.

See his official video for "Something To Do With My Hands" below:

The lights go out, and the crowd is going crazy. The first notes of "Am I the Only One" begin to play and it is already clear as soon as Dierks takes the stage that this is going to be a great set. The Arizona native played so many hits; (old and new) that it was hard to pick a favorite. It was also nice to see that the crowd knew every single one. At one point during "Lot of Leaving Left to Do" he pulled a female audience member onstage and handed her the guitar. Awe struck, she turned on her charm and just started strumming away! Even Dierks was impressed!

As the set went on, some great highlights were "Up on the Ridge," "What Was I Thinking," "Come A Little Closer" and "I Hold On." The crowed was giving Dierks just as much of a show as he was giving them and he let the crowed know how much fun he was having. In fact, he even signed his guitar and gave it away to a lucky girl.

Two out-standing, crowd pleasers and the night was practically just beginning! Before Miranda Lambert even walked onstage, you knew just from the stage set up that it was going to be nothing but "in your face" entertainment! For example, Miranda's microphone stand was a shotgun!

The singer kicked things off with a bang, starting her set with "Fastest Girl in Town," "Only Prettier" and "That's the Way the World Goes Round." One thing about Miranda is that she is definitely a performer and has a great vibe that the whole crowd was feeling. She slowed things down temporarily with "How Dare You" and hit every note spot on.

See Miranda's Official video for "Over You" below:

Towards the end of the night, she had Thomas Rhett and Dierks Bentley come out again and they all sang "Bad Angel" together. However, the night wasn't over yet, she had a surprise special guest. You guessed it! Shocking the crowd, she introduced husband, Blake Shelton, Together they sang his latest single, "Sure Be Cool if You Did." It only proved how great of a duo (both personally and professionally) they really are.

As the last note slowly faded, the crowd dwindled out into the snowy streets, definitely satisfied and happy with how their night ended. Check out the "Locked and Reloaded" tour when it barrels into your town. This is one of the shows on the road now that certainly gives customers more bang for their buck!
