The Small Screen Welcomes The Biggest Band on the Planet as "Jonas" Premieres on the Disney Channel. Tune in May 2 at 8:00PM!
Teen girls everywhere have had May 2 marked on the calendar for a very long time. That's the day "JONAS" premieres on the Disney Channel and it can't get here fast enough.
"JONAS" is a new series that features brothers Kevin, Joe and Nick, collectively known as the Jonas Brothers. If they aren't discussed daily in your household it's because you must not have a teenager daughter. The young men are talented singer/songwriter, musicians who have become staples on the radio thanks in part to their incredibly rabid fan base. They're songs are catchy, they play their own music, they dress nicely and are the type of musicians that Mom's don't mind their daughters idolizing.
Having starred in Disney's wildly successful movie "Camp Rock," last summer, it was only natural that Disney should want the group on the channel in more frequent rotation. From that… a TV show was born.
This series centers around the fictional Lucas family, normal everyday guys who just happen to be rock stars. Comedy ensues as the brothers try to balance ordinary lives with screaming fans, making music and figuring out celebrity status.
Joining the talented cast are actresses Chelsea Staub ("Minutemen"), as the group's friend and stylist, and Nicole Anderson (guest star on "Hannah Montana" and "iCarly") as the group's biggest fan and classmate. The show also boasts appearances by "The Bonus Jonas," Frankie Jonas, the youngest member of the Jonas family.
Be sure to tune into the Disney Channel's premiere weekend special line-up including a brand new episode of "The Suite Life on Deck" on Friday at 8:00PM. On Saturday, there's an encore presentation of Camp Rock at 11:00AM, followed by a 15 episode "Hannah Montana" marathon. The Jonas Brothers premiere will be followed by a new episode of "Wizards of Waverly Place" at 8:30PM. Check your local listings to confirm times and channels.
The fun continues on Sunday with a new episode of "Hannah Montana" featuring David Archuleta, (at 8:00PM) and a new "Sonny With a Chance" starring Demi Levato. The "JONAS" premiere episode will also be available on Netflix, iTunes and Mobile VOD (Sprint TV, AT&T CV and Verizon V Cast).

The Week of January 11 - 17
American Idol Returns on January 13! Set Those Recorders Now so You Don't Miss a Minute of the Action!
The television phenomenon that gave us superstars like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and David Cook is back! Beginning on January 13, you can get your idol fix at least twice a week! And don't worry about it ending too soon we won't even know who the Top 12 are until February 17. So there is plenty of time to pick a favorite and enjoy the selection process.
Speaking of that - there are a few changes this year that might take some getting used to, including the addition of a fourth judge. Paula no longer has to battle the boys alone; she has a sister in crime as producer/songwriter, Kara Dioguardi, joins the panel.
Kara's songs have been voiced by everyone from Gwen Stefani, Carrie Underwood, Celine Dion and Pink to Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears and Jewel. Her expertise will help the three veteran judges critique performances and select the best candidates for finalists.
Start tuning into FOX at 8:00PM on January 13, as all of the fun and excitement gets underway. Stay tuned the next night as more of the audition process is showcased (also at 8:00PM!).

The Week of November 2 - 9

The "iCarly" Gang Brings Their First Movie to Nickelodeon! "iGo to Japan" Airs Saturday, November 8!
What is better than a whole new season of iCarly? How about kicking it off with a ninety minute movie extravaganza? Carly, Sam, Freddie, and Spencer are back for more laughs in a story that involves the crew heading to Japan for the iWeb Awards.
Carly, Sam and Freddie are thrilled to learn that iCarly has been nominated for an iWeb Award in the comedy category. They learn that the award ceremony will take place in Japan. Of course, Spencer will have to go with them as their parental unit. Freddies Mom insists on going with her little boy. There is just one problem they only have three first class tickets and they need five.
Spencer suggests that they trade the first class tickets for five tickets in coach. The group agrees that this is a good idea and leaves Spencer to make the arrangements. Bad idea! Spencer makes a deal with a friend who says that he can drop in them in Japan. What the group doesnt know is that the man is flying a cargo plane (full of Possi, which is the plural for Possum, meaning that there are a lot of possums on board) over Japan and that the group will have to parachute out of the plane.

Once in Japan, the gang is greeted by their competitors Kyoko, and Yuki who pretend to be extremely excited to be in the company of the young pseudo-celebrities. They send Spencer and Mrs. Benson to a spa treatment operated by their cousins and offer to take Carly, Sam and Freddie shopping.

It turns out that Kyoko and Yuki arent that friendly after all. The tricks they pull to keep the iCarly crew away from the IWeb awards are mean (though we have to admit, they provide a lot of laughs) and the trio finds themselves stranded miles away from the ceremony. If they cant figure out how to get to the awards show, they risk losing the chance at winning.

What is super group Good Charlotte doing in Japan? Are Spencer and Mrs. Benson really treated to a spa day? Can our young Web show creators find a way to the awards show? Will Freddie ever stop crushing on Carly? Will Sam ever stop hitting people? Some of these answers will be revealed on the iCarly movie iGo to Japan that airs on Saturday, November 8 at 8:00PM (EST) on Nickelodeon.
In Their Own Words!

Photos by: Gavin Bond/Nickelodeon
Two of "iCarly's" cast members took time out from filming the brand new season to talk with us about "iGo to Japan!" Jennette McCurdy and Nathan Kress share their thoughts on making the TV movie.

Jennette says...
"It was just such a great experience filming it and everything. We filmed it over a three week span. And it was definitely my favorite three weeks ever of the entire show, of any episodes weve ever done! This TV movie was the greatest to film. So I hope everybody can watch it, enjoy it and just laugh!"
On how filming the movie was different than shooting a regular episode...
"Well, normally we would film on Thursdays and Fridays... we would shoot an episode on Thursday and Friday. For this TV movie, our production manager broke it down over three weeks. We ended up just rehearsing on Mondays and Tuesdays and then wed shoot on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. On one of the weeks we also shot on a Tuesday. We had lots more shooting days. So we could really make sure everything turned out absolutely perfect."
The three week shooting schedule made things a little more difficult, but the cast members were up for the challange.
"It was a little bit confusing at times because for each of the three weeks, we had different locations that we were shooting so its not like we were shooting it in order. Sometimes you had to really narrow it down and keep your thoughts all straight and sort of map it out on your schedule what exactly you were doing so that you wouldnt get mixed up because you had to remember what had already happened before hand and after that scene. I think definitely you had to be more focused for those three weeks because you had to know okay, this week is our Japan location, so we have to know that. Next week is our Web Awards so thats after Japan and in Japan.'"

Nathan says...
"Basically, 'iGo to Japan' centers around 'iCarly' being nominated for an 'iWeb Award,' which is this brand new, prestigious awards shows, where judges examine web shows all over the world and bring them to Japan to perform a skit. Then from that, the judges can pick the best show from each category. 'iCarlys' been nominated, of course, for comedy so were invited to go to Japan to compete in this web awards show."
As we try to make our way to Japan, all kinds of crazy shenanigans happen to us, as only the 'iCarly'
cast would. All kinds of ridiculous things happen to us as were trying to get to the web show. So its a really, really cool concept."
On how filming the movie was different than shooting a regular episode...
"It was really sort of a mix of a movie shoot plus the way that we regularly shoot an 'iCarly' episode. We stuck to generally the same schedule but normally we started filming on Wednesday instead of Thursday, so we had more time to shoot. This was considered a three-part episode. It took us three weeks to finish the bulk of it and then we had little scenes to pick up in the next coming weeks."
EnterTeenmentNews.com will have way more with Jennette and Nathan soon... so keep checking back to learn more about these two fan faves!

Nickelodeon's 20th Annual Kids' Choice Awards
More SLIM, FUN and ENTERTAINMENT than ever before!!!
To mark the biggest, loudest, messiest, starriest spectacle in 20 years, Nick will treat kids to 20 additional, magical, messy minutes. The surprises, the slime, the stars, the music and the unabashed fun will just keep on coming. Then, at 9:50 p.m., the hour will be capped appropriately with an episode of SpongeBob SquarePants.
Set to amp up the wattage this year are Will Ferrell, Nicole Kidman, Dakota Fanning, Ben Stiller, Steve Carell, Queen Latifah, Zac Efron, Bindi Irwin, Hilary Duff, Jessica Alba, Jamie Lynn Spears, George Lopez, Jon Heder, Chris Evans, Drake Bell, Emma Roberts, Jesse McCartney, Nelly, Ciara, Shia LaBeouf, Hayden Panettiere, Ice Cube, Masi Oka, Ty Pennington, Tyler James Williams, Rihanna, Devon Werkheiser, Lil’ JJ, Nat Wolff, Alex Wolff, Chris Brown, Tom Kenny and Ryan Sheckler.
Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards -- the only awards show that gives kids the power to vote for their favorites in movies, television, music, sports and more -- boasts a massive popular vote and sweeping audience participation. To date, an overwhelming, record-breaking 26 million already have cast votes in advance in a total of 16 categories – breaking last year’s final record-breaking total. Voting began online March 5 on Nick.com, and a different category is featured on-air in ME:TV each week. In fact, for the first time, kids can vote on all available Nickelodeon digital platforms including Nick.com, Nicktropolis and TurboNick or text in their votes via cell phones. Surprise awards also will be announced during the show.
Grammy and two-time Burp Award winner/host Timberlake will set the stage for KCA traditions including the Wannabe Award, an honor bestowed on a celebrity role model who kids most “want to be.” Past recipients (chronologically 2001-06) are: Tom Cruise, Janet Jackson, Will Smith, Adam Sandler, Queen Latifah and Chris Rock. The sixth annual burp contest will offer a terrific new twist, featuring kids and stars, and take the noise level to a new high. Past Burp Award winners include: Cameron Diaz, Jessica Alba and Steve Irwin (shared honor), Justin Timberlake (two-time winner) and Hugh Jackman. And the World Record Slime Stunt hosted by Seacrest will astonish as never before. Last year, U.S. Olympic Freestyle Aerial Skier Ryan St. Onge set a World Record with a gravity-defying aerial skiing slime stunt off a snowy slope, plunging into 10,000 gallons of Nickelodeon’s signature green slime.
Kids will rule and record-breaking slime will rain at the kudos/mess-fest, with Ryan Seacrest set to host the breathtaking, never-before-attempted World Record Slime Stunt featuring bungee jumping. And in the first-ever interactive sliming, Nickelodeon, the kid channel at the forefront of user-generated programming, will put goo-gushing in kids’ hands by asking viewers to vote on nick.com for the drenching mode of this year’s secret celebrity slimee and sit back for the awesome, real-time spectacle. The 2007 slime recipient will join the venerated list of stars who’ve sloshed through KCA history, including Jack Black, Robin Williams, Johnny Depp, Mike Myers, Adam Sandler, Tom Cruise, Jim Carrey, James Earl Jones, Rosie O’Donnell, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Will Ferrell and Ben Stiller. Of course, glorious green slime-bursts will drench who knows whom throughout the show, breaking the slime barrier.
Nickelodeon’s “Slime across America,” a 50-market interactive tour that brings the green goo directly to kids, one city at a time, kicked off at the Nick Hotel in Orlando on February 26 and continues -- in an 18-wheel Slime Mobile driven by Pick Boy -- to 20 slimy stops before arriving in LA for Nickelodeon’s 20th Annual Kids' Choice Awards. The tour features the Nick Live! Slime Edition stage show, a user-generated area where kids can create content to submit to Nick's new ME:TV interactive day-part (5-7 p.m. ET/PT), Nick stars and costumed characters, karaoke, auditions -- and of course slimings! Various slimings are featured on Nick throughout March during ME:TV. (A schedule of tour stops may be found at www.nick.com/slime. Nickelodeon’s GoCityKids website also will also offer tour info.)
In a unique star-studded pre-show telecast hosted by TEENick’s J. Boogie and Victoria Justice (Zoey 101) and featuring a musical performance by Drake Bell, the Orange Carpet arrivals will interlace programming from 6 to 8 p.m. ET/PT. Celebrity interviewees will climb atop a unique stage – a.k.a. the “Slime across America” truck, conveniently parked next to the Orange Carpet.
Nicktropolis will offer a brand new virtual Kids’ Choice Awards themed world where kids can stroll down the Orange Carpet, check out the KCA Control Room, sneak in Backstage, create their own Kids’ Choice branded room and chat about the event in real time while watching the live TurboNick webcast together in viewing parties. TurboNick, Nickelodeon's broadband video service on Nick.com, will serve as the fully interactive home during the awards show, featuring a three-hour live Kids’ Choice streaming event including coverage of the Orange Carpet, Backstage, and the Kids’ Choice Awards after party, all hosted by ME:TV’s Alexandra Gizela and Jordan Carlos.

The Week of January 22 - 28
The hit series "Heroes" returns to NBC, Monday January 22 at 9:00PM (EST) with all new episodes after what seemed like a super long hiatus to its die-hard massive fan base!
The series will also take interactive media to a new level with it's debut of the "360 Degree Experience" as described in the following NBC release!
NBC today unveiled its extensive "TV 360" realization for the breakout-hit "Heroes." The digital extensions, which launch with the return of original episodes of the show on Monday, January 22nd, will include exclusive and original content made available on several alternative platforms, sponsored in part by Nissan.
The announcement was made by Jeff Gaspin, President NBC Universal Cable Entertainment, Digital Content and Cross Network Strategy.
"This is particularly exciting because it's the most developed TV 360 application we've created for a scripted series, and the first to use this level of interactivity," said Gaspin. The fourth season premiere finds the gang adjusting to life without Marissa Cooper. Summer is attending Brown University in Rhode Island, where she has reinvented herself as a left-leaning, tree-hugging activist under the sway of environmentalist Che (guest star Chris Pratt). Ryan has moved out of the Cohen house and is dealing with Marissa's death in the only way he knows how.
When Ryan misses a special dinner at the Cohens', Seth finds him on the wrong side of the tracks and calls Summer for help. Meanwhile, Julie Cooper will do anything – even yard work – to avoid dealing with Marissa's death; Kaitlin earns a new pair of boots from Dr. Roberts in true Cooper fashion; and Taylor hides out in the diner so no one will know she's not in Paris in "The Avengers" episode of THE O.C. airing Thursday, Nov. 2 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Meanwhile, Seth acts like a jerk and finds some new friends in Mexico (including guest star Steve-O) who help him find what he's looking for. Kaitlin and Julie are forced by Dean Torres (guest star Tia Carrere) to work together on Harbor's clothing drive, and Julie is ostracized by the Cohens when they discover what she has been up to. And when Taylor drops in on Summer unannounced, the truth comes out as Summer continues to separate herself from everything Orange County.
