"Glee" Brings A Lot of Joy and an Instant New Obsession to the Small Screen

From the moment it aired right after the "American Idol" finale in May, people have not stopped talking about the new FOX series, "Glee." The pilot episode, at least, got everything right. It created interesting and lovable characters that the audience could easily identify with and put them into situations that were also relatable to its viewers. The show made us laugh, it entertained us and it gave us hope that we can make our world a little brighter. In other words, it completely lived up to its name!

Hopefully, the new episodes that begin on Wednesday, September 9, will be just as good. They show centers around a teacher, Will Shuester, whose heart is actually in the right place. He wants his students to be passionate about something and good at something. He takes over the Glee Club, an extracurricular activity that he once loved as well. The students that sign up for the club have very different backgrounds and goals. They also have a few things in common like the love of music and the desire to be the best at something in their lives.

In this episode, titled "Showmance," the club performs for the school for the first time. Rachel isn't the only one to recognize her feelings for Finn and Will's wife offers another round of surprising news.

Of course, another bonus for viewers is the great music this ensemble cast showcases. Yet another reason to tune in, as if you needed one more.

If you missed the pilot, you can check it out at www.Itunes.com or pick up a copy of the DVD at Wal-Mart. (You can also order it from www.Walmart.com ) While you are at Itunes, you can also download some of the songs from the show.

Tune into FOX at 9:00PM on Wednesday, September 9 to see what the buzz is about!

The "iCarly" Gang Brings Their First Movie to Nickelodeon! "iGo to Japan" Airs Saturday, November 8!

What is better than a whole new season of iCarly? How about kicking it off with a ninety minute movie extravaganza? Carly, Sam, Freddie, and Spencer are back for more laughs in a story that involves the crew heading to Japan for the iWeb Awards.

Carly, Sam and Freddie are thrilled to learn that iCarly has been nominated for an iWeb Award in the comedy category. They learn that the award ceremony will take place in Japan. Of course, Spencer will have to go with them as their parental unit. Freddies Mom insists on going with her little boy. There is just one problem they only have three first class tickets and they need five.

Spencer suggests that they trade the first class tickets for five tickets in coach. The group agrees that this is a good idea and leaves Spencer to make the arrangements. Bad idea! Spencer makes a deal with a friend who says that he can drop in them in Japan. What the group doesnt know is that the man is flying a cargo plane (full of Possi, which is the plural for Possum, meaning that there are a lot of possums on board) over Japan and that the group will have to parachute out of the plane.

Once in Japan, the gang is greeted by their competitors Kyoko, and Yuki who pretend to be extremely excited to be in the company of the young pseudo-celebrities. They send Spencer and Mrs. Benson to a spa treatment operated by their cousins and offer to take Carly, Sam and Freddie shopping.

It turns out that Kyoko and Yuki arent that friendly after all. The tricks they pull to keep the iCarly crew away from the IWeb awards are mean (though we have to admit, they provide a lot of laughs) and the trio finds themselves stranded miles away from the ceremony. If they cant figure out how to get to the awards show, they risk losing the chance at winning.

What is super group Good Charlotte doing in Japan? Are Spencer and Mrs. Benson really treated to a spa day? Can our young Web show creators find a way to the awards show? Will Freddie ever stop crushing on Carly? Will Sam ever stop hitting people? Some of these answers will be revealed on the iCarly movie iGo to Japan that airs on Saturday, November 8 at 8:00PM (EST) on Nickelodeon.

In Their Own Words!

Photos by: Gavin Bond/Nickelodeon

Two of "iCarly's" cast members took time out from filming the brand new season to talk with us about "iGo to Japan!" Jennette McCurdy and Nathan Kress share their thoughts on making the TV movie.

Jennette says...

"It was just such a great experience filming it and everything. We filmed it over a three week span. And it was definitely my favorite three weeks ever of the entire show, of any episodes weve ever done! This TV movie was the greatest to film. So I hope everybody can watch it, enjoy it and just laugh!"

On how filming the movie was different than shooting a regular episode...

"Well, normally we would film on Thursdays and Fridays... we would shoot an episode on Thursday and Friday. For this TV movie, our production manager broke it down over three weeks. We ended up just rehearsing on Mondays and Tuesdays and then wed shoot on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. On one of the weeks we also shot on a Tuesday. We had lots more shooting days. So we could really make sure everything turned out absolutely perfect."

The three week shooting schedule made things a little more difficult, but the cast members were up for the challange.

"It was a little bit confusing at times because for each of the three weeks, we had different locations that we were shooting so its not like we were shooting it in order. Sometimes you had to really narrow it down and keep your thoughts all straight and sort of map it out on your schedule what exactly you were doing so that you wouldnt get mixed up because you had to remember what had already happened before hand and after that scene. I think definitely you had to be more focused for those three weeks because you had to know okay, this week is our Japan location, so we have to know that. Next week is our Web Awards so thats after Japan and in Japan.'"

Nathan says...

"Basically, 'iGo to Japan' centers around 'iCarly' being nominated for an 'iWeb Award,' which is this brand new, prestigious awards shows, where judges examine web shows all over the world and bring them to Japan to perform a skit. Then from that, the judges can pick the best show from each category. 'iCarlys' been nominated, of course, for comedy so were invited to go to Japan to compete in this web awards show."

As we try to make our way to Japan, all kinds of crazy shenanigans happen to us, as only the 'iCarly' cast would. All kinds of ridiculous things happen to us as were trying to get to the web show. So its a really, really cool concept."

On how filming the movie was different than shooting a regular episode...

"It was really sort of a mix of a movie shoot plus the way that we regularly shoot an 'iCarly' episode. We stuck to generally the same schedule but normally we started filming on Wednesday instead of Thursday, so we had more time to shoot. This was considered a three-part episode. It took us three weeks to finish the bulk of it and then we had little scenes to pick up in the next coming weeks."

EnterTeenmentNews.com will have way more with Jennette and Nathan soon... so keep checking back to learn more about these two fan faves!
